Don’t get me wrong, I’m not thrilled with the idea of Watchmen Prequels for a whole host of reasons. But I think all of us, particularly comics creators, have blood on our hands when it comes to working on properties whose creators have still not been properly compensated for our work.
That includes me and my work-for-hire Marvel and DC work, as well as Alan Moore, who arguably built his career on other people’s characters (some in the public domain, many not).
